pull up a leafIt’s not too hot, it’s not too cold…it’s just right. I LOVE this time of year. Bring on the pumpkin spice, the cool nights sleeping with windows open, fall activities with my family, the leaves changing color…and fall fashion. Blazers and lightweight jackets are in high abundance in my closet and if you’re looking for a way to create a complete look- grab a t-shirt, a pair of jeans, a blazer and your favorite heels (or comfortable flats) and you’re good to go!

What I’m wearing: Blazer- Anthropologie (Similar style here in great solid colors)/ Tee- Bailey 44 (old, but here’s another one of my favorites)/ Jeans- AG/ Shoes- Modern Vintage (Old, but love these!) / Bag- Times’ Arrow RENT THE RUNWAY Unlimited/ Earrings-Target/Bracelet- Elizabeth and James RENT THE RUNWAY Unlimited

Color and pattern, my two favorite things to wear. I found this skirt in the beginning of the spring season at Anthropologie and have worn it so many ways- with a tank and a denim jacket, with a silk oversized button down blouse, and I plan to bring it into the fall with a basic tee, leather jacket and booties. Here and here are two skirt styles you might like.

bag detailHave you heard about Rent the Runway and their new Unlimited designer rental plan??! (click here to learn more!) I decided to try it out, and so far I’m blown away with the selection (outerwear, jewelry, scarves, and bags), service, and genius idea that for $75.00 a month I can borrow 3 pieces at a time and keep them for as long as I want, or send them back for frequent new pieces during the 30 day period. This bag by Time’s Arrow quickly made it’s way on my favorite list.  It’s the perfect size, easy to carry, has functional inside pockets, and my daughter Chloe loved the fact that she could use the long strap as a reign for steering me to the playground. (She’s obsessed with horses, and that’s an understatement.)

My t-shirt was a Target find a while back. Here’s a style you might also like.

I wish I knew how to do this to my own hair. Danielle has many talents and this is one of them. :) It took her 3 minutes to create this awesome upside down braid. In the meantime, I keep watching this tutorial with the hope that practice will pay off.
