Winter “Greys”

We weren’t about to let this white stuff keep us inside for another day. While the snow beautifully blanketed our area once again, I’m joining the  “I’m ok with hot summer days” club. With that said, like every other person going through the winter blues, Danielle and I put on our boots and ventured outside….

snowy branchesMy boots are Sorel’s from a few years back and never disappoint keeping me warm and dry. Here and here are two other styles you might like if you’re still wrapping garbage bags around your shoes as your winter footwear. :)best bootsglisten

My jacket was a birthday present from James last year and is by Francis Leon. I love the constructive details and different mix of fabrics these Australian designers (another reason to love them!) use in each of their pieces. Here’s a style that might be on my birthday wish list this year! :)

My bracelet is a piece you’ve seen a few times before on SCF and is by Gerard Yosca. Here’s a style you might like.

My sunglasses are by Michael Kors and my hat is from Anthropologie (in select stores).  Stay warm, don’t forget to make a snowman, and thanks for reading!

Skirts, Scales and Sales

I’ll be the first to admit, I don’t get a chance to wear skirts often. But a vacant alley in New York City seemed like a great place to wear this one.

My jacket is by Blank (on sale!) and is a great piece to layer with. My skirt was a Christmas gift from my Mom (thanks Mom!) from Anthropologie, and I love the colors, pattern and funky peplum it has going on. While once again, this style is sold out due to their fabulous end of season sale, here and here are two great styles you might also like.

My shoes are old Via Spiga’s that I’ve blogged about before. Here’s a pair with a similar color story that I also like.

My top was a fun find at a boutique called Poco Paradiso in the city (97 Spring street). I love the “lizard” like inspired sleeve. This would also look great with distressed jeans and pumps, studded sneakers, or even a pair of converse.

against the wall

My jacket is by Mackage. I can’t rave enough about all of their designs and with their current sale, maybe one will make it into your wardrobe.

My belt is from about 3 years ago from Jcrew. You don’t always have to wear a belt the natural way. This specific belt is a bit bigger since I bought it to fit at my hips. To wear with this skirt, I moved the prong to the side and wrapped it and made a simple “knot”.

gerardMy earrings are by Gerard Yosca, one of my favorite (and local- NYC!) designers. Here’s a pair you might like!
