‘burb bliss

A few weeks ago we traveled to Newtown, PA to visit good friends-Erin and Laszlo- who had moved from Hoboken. After exploring (and getting lost) in their beautiful house, letting the kids play for hours in the yard, and enjoying a suburbia cookout, we bribed our husbands with cold beer so we could sneak into town and check out a boutique Erin had been telling me about since they had moved. “You will be in heaven when you see these stores, it’s a total sensory overload.”

I mean, what girl isn’t curious about a boutique when that is how a friend describes it?!

waves of grain

Since we knew we were on borrowed time (i.e. no more beer), we made it our mission to check out all four store locations under the David J. Witchell name that adDRESS (get it?:) ) everything a woman needs- hair/makeup/spa, a home goods shop, a denim sanctuary, and the most gorgeous dresses and killer separates.

The boutique at 25 South, is where I found this great top from “Young, Broke and Fabulous” on sale for…wait for it…$30!!!!!!  (originally $150!)  I matched it up with some of my recent “Unlimited” pieces from Rent the Runway. (bracelet- Elizabeth and James and earrings from Lizzie Fortunato.)

bling and a ring

i heart these

My bag is an old purchase from a store that’s no longer in business in Hoboken, and my shoes are also oldies by Miss Sixty. My boyfriend jeans are by Gap and my other ring is from another of my favorite accessory stores in Hoboken- Sedona Hand Gallery.

Lesson learned- don’t skip over the sale rack. You just might have the rest of a great look in your closet…or waiting for you at David J Witchell. Road trip anyone?
