ELEANOR KALLE (read on to enter the giveaway!!!!!)

I was making my way through Bloomingdales on 59th street, and I had to mentally talk myself out of browsing all the things that usually catch my eye. James had just given me 30 minutes to myself in a nearby Zara while he took the kiddos to Forty Carrots, and since I went past my “given time” I knew I had to quickly find him and help extract our sugared-up kids from the shopping mecca. I turned a corner and stumbled upon a small stand with such beautiful and unique pieces and the whole “keep walking” mentality went out the window. “I like your scarf.” An adorable brunette said to me and we started chatting. “I love this collection!” I told her.  In my mind, at that moment I was thinking how badly I wanted to buy each piece.

Fully knowing that I was going to have to come up with an excuse for James as to how 30 minutes  really means an hour, and how much I was drawn to her pieces, we exchanged cards and I made a mental note that this would be a new line to add into my “favorites” category.  A couple weeks later, I had the privilege of meeting the designer Amy, and her business partner Randi for lunch. I learned so much about these two go-getters, and loved their passion, fun personalities, and became inspired to share with as many friends as I could who and what ELEANOR KALLE was. The pieces speak for themselves and are made in NYC. Edgy, unique, conversation starters, raw, refined, and strong, are words I feel describe each piece.  Amy and Randi sent me a box of some of their favorite pieces and Danielle and I had a blast taking these pics in a taxi garage in Jersey City and then at Bin 14. I hope you fall in love and find a piece that you MUST have. The PARIS cuff (click here) and the LOLA necklace (click here) are currently in my shopping cart. Check out the cocktail CLEO ring (click here). I’m putting that beauty on my birthday wish list!

Easy Peasy

Transitional clothing into spring (FINALLY!) can make things tricky.  An easy way to solve that tragic dilemma (ok not really but some mornings it can feel that way) is by throwing on a great romper. Now finding the romper that flatters you best is a whole other blog post, but take it into consideration next time you’re out shopping and try a few different styles on. There’s nothing better than getting dressed in one shot and not having to worry about so many layers, pieces, and textures to make you feel like you’re sporting a great look, especially on those days when you feel like time has it out for you.

This piece I found on the sale rack at Anthropologie a few weeks ago. While I’m not sure it’s still in stores this one from Anthropologie and this one from Forever 21 are other great options you might like!

My earrings are The Melanie from Stella & Dot and the length can be altered by simply clipping off pieces. You can even turn them into simple studs. Getting 3 pairs of earrings in one is always a sure way to win me over. Grab yourself a pair by clicking here. My ring is also from Stella & Dot and is the Zinnia. This is a piece I know I will wear lots in the next warm spring and summer months! Click here and get one!
